| This is our home in Gardnerville, Nevada. We moved here from Pennsylvania in 1996 after Joe retired and we bought acreage near Lake Tahoe so we could be closer to our children and grandchildren. We had everything custom built with our Labradors in mind. Our puppies have always been raised in our house, so the house was designed with a two-story wing of which the ground floor was devoted to the puppies. |  |

My main office is located in this area along with a one-half bath, laundry, waiting room, puppy room, lab and animal prep room. This room is used for progesterone blood tests, semen storage, all medication, bathing puppies and adults and preparing the puppy meals. My office has video cameras so when I have a litter of puppies I can view the whelping box from any TV in the house. |
| Our kennel is all indoor with three garage doors on either
side that can be raised together or separately to let in the sun or
summer breeze, although we do have 7 fenced acres just for the dogs
to run during the day. The runs are 4 ft. x 14 ft they are separated
with 3ft. high masonite panels built into the 6 ft. high chain link
panels. Aluminum isolation channels go beneath the panels to prevent
any contamination from run to run. Each run has a 24 inch x 48 inch
bench with swing up on hinges for cleaning. To keep the air clean we
installed two large exhaust fans. Down the center of the isle are four
ceiling fans to circulate the air. Video cameras were also installed
in the kennel to check on the dogs from the house. Three high-pressure hose reels are suspended from the ceiling down into troughs on either side of the kennel and the waste goes into the septic system. When you enter the kennel there is an office and full kitchen with two dishwashers to the right. To the left is a storage area for feed and a half bath. I feel very fortunate to have such a modern kennel facility and I have my husband to thank for this. Also my oldest son who was our contractor and he contributed many ideas that we used in the plans. |
